SUCCESS STORY: COOKIES

This manufacturer made a very standard line of commodity cookies that would have been hard-pressed to be competitive in that category in the U.S. Their low cost of operation compared to U.S. producers, however, suggested that niche opportunities were possible. CBEX’s strategy was to find such niche markets and seek partnerships with U.S. manufacturers who could not make and package certain cookies economically. This manufacturer is now in significant distribution for commodity products in the U.S convenience store segment.
