SUCCESS STORY: PLASTIC SECURITY CASES

This manufacturer of plastic security cases for cd’s and DVD’s sold in retail settings has a strong position in the European mass retail market. Their initial challenge was to see if this low cost item could be profitably shipped from Europe and establish a competitive position in the U.S. market  which is dominated by one U.S. producer. Despite the superior quality and performance of their product it had to be determined that it had a position in this rapidly growing and competitive market. Through its network in mass retail distribution CBEX was able to discover a place in the upscale retail market for this product and subsequently present the product to upscale retail chains both directly and through distribution. The company has now broken into the U.S. market and expects future growth. Developing pricing and promotional strategies was critical to the overall market entry strategy. CBEX has helped the client develop and refine this strategy.
