SUCCESS STORY:
UTILITY POLES
|
|
This major Canadian producer of pressurized
utility poles had tried to break into the U.S. market through
a large distributor in Montreal that was moving dimensional
lumber into the U.S. They were unsuccessful and were told that
the species of preference in the U.S. was southern yellow pine
and not red pine which the Canadian manufacturer produced.
Through a missionary campaign through CBEX’s representative
network CBEX was able to re-educate the market on the cost
benefit and suitability of red pine despite the historical
preference for southern yellow pine. The company now enjoys
good sales in U.S. utility pole distribution. |
